February Blues

With the winter season hitting us with full tilt (i.e. storm after storm) everyone (including myself) is feeling a bit of the winter blues.

I haven't had a chance to shoot a lot this past couple weeks with the bad weather, work, and the hectic stress of planning a wedding. That will be my main concern over the next 6 1/2 months. I am hoping that I will still have time to shoot, and I still have some in the planning process it's just a matter of finding a time that everyone can agree on.

Just a small update for now, I have a few live shows of images that need some work, and a home that needs some tending to. For now, Kelly out.

HORRAY

So finally got some work down (thanks Matt!!) and got my site up and running! There are a few more kinks to work out but all in all, it is up, running and looks great! I am really happy with how it is flowing.

Also the booking page is too cool for words!

Most of the changes from here on are going to be aesthetic. And maybe a few more links/information areas.

In other news, I have some more shoots in the planning stages. Nothing new to upload right now, but I have some fun shots coming soon! Also been playing around in Photoshop with some cross processing techniques which i am eager to try out on some fresh images!

Lauren and Julia

A local Make-up artist was working on her book and asked me if I would be interested in getting together with a couple models to shoot. So I called in my friend Lauren, and Julia (home from UK) to come in and play around for a few hours.

Lauren and Julia both are fantastic people to work with, Julia because she is so poise and professional, and Lauren becuase she can make me laugh like no one else. We are all planning on more work together in the very near future!

Karen and the 69' Cadillac

When Matt and I were going to do the fire set, Karen came along once we found out he had a beautiful 1969 Cadillac sitting in his garage for our shooting pleasure! The space was tight, but we managed to get some neat shots while we were there.

Setting Fire

A friend of mine, and also a fire performer Matt Loppie, has been talking with me for a long time now about getting together and doing some shots for his portfolio, promotion and so on. We had thrown around the idea of shooting outside in the snow. So again, the Sunday snowfall was a blessing to us, and a curse to everyone else.

We did a set of images in his garage.





And after driving around to 6 different locations, looking for one with the least amount of wind, we settled inbetween a bunch of townhouses. There were many onlookers to the fireballs flying in the sky.


Me and our friend Karen (yes, that Karen) also did a set of images with his 69 Cadillac, those images are coming soon..

Let it snow

After yet another snow storm here in the city, I felt the urges today to head outside while the flurries still fell and take some more pictures. This winter I seem to be a big fan of snow shoots!

Up first is my finance Ryan. I just drug him outside our home and took some shots of him.




Not long after I got a hold of the lovely Caitlin who just so happened to live up the road from me, and she came out to play in the snow as well. Even if we both slipped and fell a couple times, and I learned how to do the spliz by accident! It was all good fun!



Now it is off again! I have two more shoots tonight. Fire and hot cars! :D

Babies

December was Baby Month. Everyone wanting to get some pretty pictures of their kids for the holidays.

Kids are fun to work with I find. A little challenging when they want nothing to do with you, but fun none the less.
