Douville/Hickey Kids

Justin has been a very good friend of mine for a long time, and so has the Douville (and now Hickey) family. Justin got the chance to come home this summer for a visit with his 10month old son Xander, and brought along the little girl Gaby.

"Grandma" Wanted to try and get some nice photos of the grandchildren together, as Justin lives in Saskatoon, and her daughter and thier family are moving to Ontario this month with her other two grandchildren.

So we picked up the kiddies and headed out to the park for a fun day. Four adults do not have enough eyes for two 3yr olds and two 1yr olds!

But it was a lot of fun and I was super happy to finally get to meet Xander!

I've been getting lots of emails about the images from the tattoo festival. But with a recent move into a new house and trying to settle in and find space for everything, along with working a full time job I haven't had much time or energy to continue editing the images.

Tasha vs the Stang

Two of my favorite things! Pretty ladies, and hot cars!

Tasha has been a friend of mine for a while now, and we always talked about doing a shoot together but never got around to setting up a time. However with her moving away to Ontario after this weekend, I realized we gotta get in there like.. right away!
After borrowing my dad's 1970 Mustang, and hoping that the rain would hold of at least for a couple hours, we managed to pump out a TON of amazing shots! I am so pleased with these that I am sad she will be leaving, but never fear, she plans to visit a lot so I will have another chance someday!

Hello Everyone!

So it's that time of year again! The Maritime Tattoo Festival is THIS WEEKEND!! And yours truley will be there from day til night, til after party and onward with her camera to capture you under the needle, and all the other wonderful events taking place! Tattoos, Piercings, Mud Wrestling, Bands, Body Casts? You name it!

May 22 ... 12pm to 10pm
May 23 ... 12pm to 10pm
May 24 ... 12pm to 6pm
Halifax Forum Multi-Purpose Center
(corner of Windsor Street and Young Street)

As last year, I will have a photo booth set up for your to come in and have your offical festival picture taken! The web images are going to be free, but if you would like to order the large image to print they will be for sale for 5$ and can be ordered via email/paypal. I will NOT be selling event images on site due to confusion and very limited time in booth area. But if you send an email to kellylynnmartell@hotmail.com you can order images. Links to last years festival will be posted asap.

ALSO There will be prints of all my other photography work for sale on site. So come check em out!

The Doyle Family

A couple years ago I met the Doyle's around Christmas time, when they came to me wanting some pictures together with their daughter Kathleen. Now a couple years later they welcome baby Charlotte into their family and wanted to get some pictures done again!!

This time around they wanted something a little more casual, what better way then on a nice sunny day in their own home! I was super please with the outcome of these and couldn't wait to share!

Lisa T

There's one thing that I love about being a photographer, and that is you have the ability to reconnect with people from once upon a time quicker, and easier than most do. I get a slew of emails and messages from people from back home and high school wanting to catch up as well as have some pictures done!

This stunning lady is no exception! I met Lisa back in high school days. And although we walked different paths then, we still have some fond memories of some of our classes together, and musicals we worked on! So after some catching up on what we've done with our lives since we headed to one of my favorite parks to do some head shots for her.

Lisa is training to be an actress and as you can see that smile can melt hearts! I wish her all the best in her years to come and hope to work with her again someday!

Kirsten and Brent

Not much can make a beautiful sunny Saturday better, than getting to photograph, an adorable and fun couple. Kirsten and I have worked together before, and she contacted me wanting to get some photographs of her and her beau Brent before he leaves for Afghanistan. Also! Not telling me during the whole thing that that day was her birthday! Silly Girl!
We took a drive up to the Dingle Tower and got some lovely shots along the beach and stunning stonework all while being taunted by dozens of crows! Had a lot of fun with these two! Here they are!
